Thanks to all who made it out to The Middle East for the Explosions & Batteries CD release show, it was truly a magical evening. All the bands (Red Wire Black Wire, Violent Kin, and Lagoon) were brilliant and the crowd was electric -- it was as if Explosions and Batteries came kicking and screaming into a world surrounded by passionate friends and family.

Our friend Miserere took some killer photos of the show that you can find on his Picasa page.

"TFK’s songs floated through the packed house airy and narcotic, the bass and synths rolling out filmy layers of sound to be cut by the pounding drumming."

Hog sunset We have now released the second single, "Pilot", from Explosions & Batteries. The song is now available to stream on myspace.

In his copious free time, John wrote a little bit of code to turn a Wii remote, nunchuk and a Mac into a rocking powerhouse of live drums. And released the source code if you're geeky enough to want to try it for yourself, or make it even better.

Get excited. DrumChuk is certain to figure into the live set at the CD Release Party at the Middle East Upstairs on July 6.

The new TFK EP, Explosions & Batteries, is complete and will be released out into the world on June 22.

Soon after we will celebrate with a fabulous CD release party at The Middle East Upstairs on Monday, July 6, with the excellent bands Red Wire Black Wire (from NYC) and Lagoon.
